Author John A. Sims

John A. Sims is an ordained minister and former pastor in the Church of God. He waseducated at Lee University, Roosevelt University, and Florida State University where he earned the Ph.D. in Religion and the Humanities.

In 1981/82, the author was invited to Princeton Theological Seminary as a Visiting Fellow, and in 1983 he studied at Harvard University as an NEH Fellow.

In 1991/92 Dr. Sims and his wife Pat travelled to England where he studied at Cambridge University as a Visiting Scholar. Dr. Sims taught at Lee University for four decades serving as Chairman of the Department of Bible and Christian Ministries for five years.

From 1996-2004 he served as president of the European Theological Seminary in Germany.

He is the author/editor of nine books as well as numerous articles and chapters in other works. Dr. Sims has taught and preached in schools and churches both nationally and internationally.

He and his wife Pat have three sons, John Patrick, Mark Ivan, and Matthew Ian. They are blessed with five grandchildren (Mary, Megan, David, Isaac, and Noah).
